"Don't waste my time"

Posted by clownfaceartist - December 7th, 2020

I tried bugging some dude to join their colab- some "passion project" and it just turned into a waste of time

like they also said. I guess I felt I wasn't a good fit for their project and felt uncomfortable talking to the interviewer.

It was a okay time, but after seeing how I felt about everything, I told em I wasn't interested and they said "Don't waste my time". Not the friendliest thing to say. Also I was blocked so... ya kinda weird.

-Thoughts on joining a project and hosting one to find the right people-

Sometimes you just gotta not invest your free time to work for another's project if its not going to be "FUN".

If they just want to treat you as a worker, then don't be apart of that team. Learn what you can gain from the Collab and how your creative input applies to the project.

It's annoying to ask about someone's project, get "interviewed" for it, told what he wants, and you tell them your availability and how you might not be a good match for it, just to get a "Don't waste my time".

If your looking for help then any interview is good to find candidates.

A search is a search. You don't always hook who you want the first go.

If you wish to welcome someone to your project try to be as welcoming as possible.

Don't expect your project and affiliates will be the right fit for new recruits.
